Ms. Eva-Maria Glasbrenner, born in Munich (Germany), studied
philosophy, Indology and religious studies at the University of Munich, and Sanskrit at the University of Pune, India. At
present she is working toward her Ph.D. at the University of Munich, where she mainly teaches Sanskrit as a teaching assistant.
Her main research interests and publications (http://www.manyaverlag.de/authors.html) concern Indian religion and philosophy, especially Śaivism and Jainism, as well
as Indian art history. Together with Robert Zydenbos she founded the publishing house Manya Verlag (http://www.manyaverlag.de), which aims at bringing out academically trustworthy publications on Indian culture,
religion and literature that are accessible not only to scholars, but also to a general public.
